Greg Wittstock
Widely known as The Pond Guy, Greg Wittstock is founder and CEO of Aquascape, the leading player in the rapidly emerging water-gardening market. Since its inception in 1991, Aquascape has experienced remarkable growth, appearing on the Inc. 500 list four years in a row (1999-2002). Greg also appeared on the November 2003 cover of Inc. for a feature article about Aquascape, entitled "How to Win Customers for Life.". In addition, Aquascape's new home and spirited culture were featured in the August 2007 issue of Inc. Magazine.
As the article explains, the new headquarters Greg created, dubbed "Aqualand," is an environmentally friendly workplace utopia. It received a silver level LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification, and sports the largest sloping green roof in North America. Not only is Greg a successful entrepreneur, he's also a motivational speaker having conducted seminars nationwide for contractors, retailers, and distributors. He authored The Pond Guy on Marketing, and his company has produced numerous publications for contractors, retailers, and consumers. Greg has appeared on HGTV and has been quoted in numerous industry publications, including Lawn & Landscape, Today's Garden Center, Irrigation & Green Industry News, Landscape Management, Nursery Retailer, in addition to several Chicago-area publications. He most recently appeared on CNBC's The Big Idea television show with Donny Deutsch.
